I’m a Brazilian visual artist, illustrator, and designer and I will use my work as a vehicle to fight for wildlife conservation, animal rights and climate change. I was a very curious child and curious I am still. My creative process includes long walks deep in the woods, where I collect treasures and photograph, which later I use as a source of inspiration and reference for my work – I know, that’s very Maria Sybilla Merian of me, thankyouverymuch. By adopting a sensitive approach to work and exploring visual imagery to engage emotionally with the viewer, art becomes a powerful tool to create change. I created the Starling collective, an independent artist-led coordinated creative project who uses the power of art, exploration, and storytelling to protect the wonders of the planet by informing, inspiring, and connecting people. Starlings imbue in us the significance of family and community and of learning how to co-exist with the people around us, promoting a symbolism of love, peace and unity. I’m a Youth Climate Leader Fellow, Omprakash Ambassador and coordinator of a Roots&Shoots group.
